Covid

Please Note: Due to a small increase in covid cases among the dance community, we are

currently asking all attendees to provide evidence of negative lateral flow test taken on the

day of the event. The test results should be logged with the NHS app, or registered on the

government website.

The coronavirus epidemeic has proved a huge challenge to those involved in dance and

continues to do so. Please read the following to familiarise yourself with the procedures we

have in place.

Initially we will be limiting numbers at venues and asking everybody to book their place in

advance.

Initially, in order to attend one of our dance nights, we are asking attendees to show proof of

two vaccinations, proof of a negative lateral flow test taken on the day of the event and

registered with the NHS, or proof of a positive PCR test within the past 6 months. The easiest

way to obtain this is via the NHS COVID Pass. This information can be forwarded to us before

an event if you would feel more comfortable doing this.

We will also be asking all attendees to provide names and contact details of everyone booking

in their party. Please note that it may be necessary to pass these details to NHS test & trace in

the event of a positive test by an attendee at an event.

We would strongly encourage everyone to take a lateral flow test on the day of the event

regardless of whether or not they have been vaccinated.

If you are showing any symptoms of Covid, or are feeling unwell, then please do not attend a

dance event.

We ask all attendees to wash and sanitise their hands frequently throughout the night.

We will be providing plenty of hand sanitiser (although we also recommend bringing your

own) and maximising the flow of air through the venues to help keep people safe.

We will have an NHS QR code poster at each venue for anyone choosing to use the NHS COVID-

19 contact tracing app.

If people wish to use PPE (eg masks) then they may do so, although this will not be

compulsory.

We will be running a class or classes and having freestyle time at our events. People can

choose to stay with their fixed partner or dance with others for both the classes and the

freestyle. Please respect other’s choices.

Finally, please note that we cannot guarantee that there will not be a case of covid at any of

our venues and everyone attends at their own risk.
